Bomb Found in Basque Businessman's Van.

Police defused a bomb attached to the underside of a van belonging to a businessman in Ordizia, a town in the province of Gipuzkoa, in Spain's Basque region. The businessman's daughter was driving the van when a pedestrian warned him that something was dangling from the underside of the vehicle, police said. A police bomb squad rushed to the scene, evacuated the area and defused the bomb, which consisted of about two pounds of explosives. The attack is seen by the Spanish media as a warning to the Basque business elite that it was not beyond the reach of ETA.
